Hi,

Im thinking a shorted injector will tell the computer to go into limp home mode, have the injectors ever been serviced? how about spark plugs and wires? thats what I would check

I drive a 96 ford escort 1.6 GL zetec 16valve. The number 4 injector is not reciving an impulse from the plug. How do i fix the problem

Impulse from plug ? What plug ? The connector on the fuel injector has two wires, one should have B+ . The other one goes to the PCM/ECM engine computer . The computer controls the injector by supplying a ground when triggered . You can test this with a noid light , buy at auto parts store > Also check out injector testing on youtube videos .

1999 ford escort zx2 cranks but won't start

As with any no-start issue, you will need to figure out if you have a problem with fuel pressure to the injectors, or spark to the plugs.
I would also check the computer for trouble codes.
Let me know what you find out.

I have a 1996 ford escort lx that wont maintain power after 2-5 mins of driving and is ripping through gas, i have replaced plugs, wires cleaned throttle body, checked the fule and air filters and the cat,...

Check/replace your O2 sensors. They regulate how much fuel is fed to the engine and if they are bad it may cause your vehicle to burn more gas and run poorly.

1999 ford escort wont start not firing no spark.

Check Engine Light on? It could be the "crankshaft position sensor" or the "camshaft position sensor", maybe the coilpack but, if it's the coil pack you should still have spark on two cylinders.

1989 ford escort cabriolet gearbox oil

is it manual tranny? if so u do so under the car by removing the fill up plug which is located on the side of the tranny on driver side of the car if i remember. The plug under the tranny is to drain it.

If u drain it, when u fill it back up, u do so until oil slightly spills out by way of that side plug.
