For a dumb transplanted Missouri Hillbillie I needed a little more explanation on removing the unit from the car. Your meaning of pry and my meaning of pry are six yards apart. I will work on it 7-19-2008 with a small screw driver.
    Thanks a Jillion,
    Inflation, you know

When i put on my brakes ,my right brake light goes out.. what would cause this and how do i fix it?

I would start by replacing the brake light bulb and then the socket the bulb goes in if the new bulb is not the problem.

Replacing rear brake light bulb on a mercedes c180

In the boot, behind the light array, is a flap in the trim, which you can pull open. Behind that is the lights and if you turn the lock to the horizontal and pull the bulb holders out, you can change the top one, which is the brake light.

Rear brakelights dont come on fuses and bulbs are fine rear window brake light works

If the high level brake light works, then the brake light circuit is fully functional.

Brake light bulbs may LOOK fine, but can still have failed. Often folks don't notice that one bulb has failed until the second one has blown; it's then easy to incorrectly assume that the fault is more complex.

Try replacing the brake light bulbs: if that doesn't work then please report back for additional options.

Brake light, reverse light and turn signal issues

Hello. The symptoms you are describing are likely due to a poor ground. Temporarily install a new ground wire by securing a piece of copper wire to the frame with a self tapping screw. Use this ground wire along with the hot wire to see if each of these lights works. If it does, trace the ground wire back to the frame, unscrew it and clean up the metal with emery cloth so you reestablish a good ground.

Right brake light out; tail light works fine

most rear tail lights and turn/stop lights are the same dual filiment bulb. it is possible for your tail light to work and your brake light not to and still have a bad bulb. I would check the bulb first, your brake light works on the left yes? this would mean that the fuse is fine

Right tail light not working when pressing brake w/ lights on.

There should be at least 2 bulbs in the light assembly. One light is the light that is on when you turn on your headlights with out the brake pressed, the other light only lights up while you press on the brake. Make sure you are replacing the correct bulb. You may have been replacing the bulb that stays on. Your lights may be set up to turn off the light that stays on when the headlights are on while pressing the brakes.

When indicating to turn right, it flashes faster than normal. Is the bulb on it's way out and needs replacing or the does the flasher unit need replacing?

hi staki
dave here

if you turn on your right turn indicator and walk around the car you will likely find one of your bulbs are out or that your brake light is out on the right side. if all your indicators flash have someone press the brakes while you check the light.
