TRAC OFF\VSC TRAC\ABS lights all stay on for my Toyota Sequoia 2003. Any way to figure out what this is without having the dealer replace a computer module.

i also have the same problem. i have a 2002 camry xle and the parking break and ABS light are both on. I got it scanned and it said that my rear left abs wheel sensor is gone. does this mean i have to spend around $500 on the sensor? The car is running very funny it feels heavy when accelerating and even at one point when i let go of the gas the car just stops,, just like it would if you press the brake, however i wasn't pressing anything. then when i forced it over 30 KM/H it felt like the jam was released . it is acting very weird. any suggestions?

When the ABS, VSC & Trac Off lights all come on, this means that you have a problem in the ABS system. Without a proper DTC code, I cannot really isolate the situation, but, the first place that I would look at is the wiring and the connectors going from the wire harness to each of the 4 wheel speed sensors. Any break or fraying at these wires, or corrosion in the connector WILL make those 3 lights come on. If you can, get the ABS system scanned with a scan too, and record the codes, and then get back to me for a more concise solution.

Why does my battery light, brake light and ABS light come on?

Usually the battery light means the alternator is not charging the battery. The ABS light means there is a problem with the ABS brake system which may include the normal hydraulic brake system.
On import cars the warning lights can be connected even if only one system is having an issue.

Leaking brake fliud on fender well next to ABS module. I think it is the ABS module, ABS dash light always on....

1 stop brake fluid leak
2 clean and dry what you think is the ABS console.

Fluid may have penetrated the console causing a short giving a warning ABS light.

Abs light has come on saab93

It means there is an issue with the anti lock braking system (ABS). If the warning light has come up it is likely that the ABS is no longer functioning. It is still safe to drive the car and it will brake as normal but the anti lock safety feature will not operate.

You need to have it checked out for faults. The most likely cause is a failed ABS wheel speed sensor which needs to be replaced. There could alternatively be a problem with the ABS pump which is causing the warning.

There is one item you can check yourself. There is a dedicated fuse for the ABS pump/motor. Check the owner's manual and locate the fuse for the ABS motor and check that the fuse has not blown. If it has blown replace it with a fuse of the correct amperage and road test the car. (So if it is a 40 amp fuse for example, make sure a 40 amp fuse is used to replace it.)

What does the abs idiot light mean

Warning lights tell you there is a problem with that system or component.
In the case of ABS the light is telling you the system is disabled because of a problem that needs to be fixed.
You would need to get the system scanned for trouble codes to proceed.

Meaning of ABS light

On vehicles equipped with antilock brakes (ABS), a second warning light is provided to warn if a problem occurs within the ABS system. The ABS lamp comes on when the ignition is turned on for a bulb check, then goes out after the engine starts. If the ABS warning light remains on or comes on while driving, it indicates a fault has occurred in the ABS system.

What happens next depends on the nature of the fault. On most applications, the ABS system disables itself if the ABS warning light comes on and remains on.

It's time to have your brakes changed,if you drive often on untarred roads, you may also want to check if your brake sensors are not having loose connections on the pads

My ABS light is coming on what does that mean?

1. check and make sure that your tires are inflated to the correct pressure

2. turn the ignition switch to the ON position. If the low tire pressure warning light comes on, push and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch (think the switch is in the glovebox, but not sure) until the warning light turns off and then release the switch.

3. now press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the low tire pressure warning light blinks three times.

4. initialization is *not* completed until driving at the vehicle speed of 19 mph or over for more than one hour. the tire pressure monitoring starts when initialization is completed.

As for the ABS light, that means your antilock brake system has detected an issue such as a block sensor, or a faulty relay, etc.. when this light is on, it means that your abs may not engage when it should, or may engage when it shouldn't.

Mini cooper Warning lights for abs, low tire, traction comes on

Ok, check the brake fluid level for a start. This could mean a few things. Your brake pads might be worn down, which would bring a yellow warning light on(triangle), at the same time with the pads being low it will have displaced the fluid, making the level low, this would be a red light on. Now because of this the body control module has detected these faults, will have turned the abs off, hence the abs light.
If brake fluid is low, this could confirm my theory.
If its low, top up with dot 5 brake fluid and take to garage to have new pads fitted.

Dash warning light

Do you mean the ABS and BRAKE lights? If so, the ABS module is bad which causes both lights to come on. After rebooting, the module gets tested and the ABS light will come on after a few seconds. If it a module problem the BRAKE light will also come on. The brakes will work normally, but will not provide the anti-lock feature.
