You have to remove the dash in layers. There's a whole bunch of screws to take out. The heater core is located in the middle of the dash near windshield when you get that far. There are a couple of brackets that hold the heater core in place, remove the heater hoses and pull out heater core. It's quite a long process so give yourself plenty of time.
