You have to remove the dash in layers. There's a whole bunch of screws to take out. The heater core is located in the middle of the dash near windshield when you get that far. There are a couple of brackets that hold the heater core in place, remove the heater hoses and pull out heater core. It's quite a long process so give yourself plenty of time.

I have coolant steam inside my car coming from my heater - 98 chevy blazer

Hello
Your going to need a heater core, this is located in the heater fan box under the dashboard.
Possibly may be found mounted to the firewall under the hood.

Let it cool down before attempting any repairs.Another possibility is a broken hose at the heater core.

98 Blazer...constant heat from heater, both dash vents and floor vents REGARDLESS of heat setting on dash thermostat

this problem is caused by a failed HVAC temperature control blend door electric actuator, to replace this part you must remove the entire dash assmbly

1988 Chevy Blazer Heater Core Replacement

first determine if the heater core is located high or low by raising the hood checking against the firewall {by following the heater hoses to the fire wall} if it is high need to remove the dash. if it is low get on your back and start removing clips and screws no special tool needed.
