Even when new, you always had to be really close to our 1997 Transport to get the keyless entry to work. Both fobs quit working simultaneously, which leads me to believe the problem is in the receiver.

Keyless entry fob stopped working for 2007 montana

I found the issue, To be some Idevices incorrectly measure the remaining amount battery life .. So the device drops below .25v 10mah , as stated in previous comments well below the idevice to enable to charge circuit , its similar to how the voltage regulator work in a cars alternator which needs power eg.

its not the best way the resolve it .. but it works and add near no additional strain to circuit ... i recommend to unplug from charger when bat reaches 100% ... to stop overcharging ...

How do i program a keyless entry remote on an 05 pontiac montana

Hello, this can only be done with a GM tech 2 scan tool.

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Use the scan tool in order to access programming: Vehicle Control System/Computer Integrating System/Module Setup/BCM/Program Key Fobs.
  3. Press the START soft key on the scan tool.
  4. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of 5-10 seconds, the scan tool will indicate that the transmitter is programmed.
  5. Repeat the previous step in order to program up to 4 transmitters.
  6. Remove the scan tool.
  7. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
