Sounds like it overheated and ruined the engine

1994 pontiac grand prix, starts up and runs fine until it warms up, about 4-5 min, then dies and will not start until cool, has new plugs and new fuel filter

the mass air flow sensor will cause this. you can remove it and spray it with electrical cleaner or maf sensor spray. you can buy at any auto parts store. follow directions on can for maf sensor spray. this sensor is very sensitive to dirt and debris. and also make sure air filter is clean and hose from filter is free from dirt.

I drove my 94 pontiac grand prix se 3.1 parked went to take off about 15 min later and car wouldn't start. i had 1/2 tank of gas and after trying to turn the motor over a couple times the battery sounded...

  1. First check the fuel filter if there's a lot of elements inside it then replace it.
  2. Check the alternator as well. Visit a good mechanic.

My 1994 pontiac grand prix was running fine , i stopped at home and when i went to leave the car started but the stalled out!! I then tried to start it again and it barely turns over but will not start!

Not an expert by any means, but I had a similar problem.
Everything was fine until one morning (it was a bit chilly out in my defense) I used my remote starter to warm up the car before leaving.
I forgot I had used the remote and hit the brake to shift into drive. Engine stopped (obviously with no keys in it!). I thought I could just put the keys in and go, but ignition would not catch.
I've actually made that mistake a few times before, but that day, for the first time ever, it prevented the engine from starting for a good 2 hrs.
Really was no solution. I just let it sit and kept trying every 30m or so with both the key and remote starter. The remote starter finally got it going again and this time I followed the instructions (put key in and turned to "On" position).
Since then, it has started up as usual.
