I HAVE A 1995 ISUZU TROOPER W/105K MILES. DROVE CAR & PARKED IT FOR 2 HRS. TRIED TO START IT WOULDN'T TURN OVER & MADE NO NOISE/CLICK WHEN KEY IS TURNED ON. I THEN CHARGED BATTERY (IT'S GOOD FAIRLY NEW), CHECKED ALL CABLES, CONN'S & FUSES GOOD. I THEN TRIED TO JUMP START IT & NOTHING. WHAT MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM? (STARTER, SOLENOID, STARTER RELAY, ALTERNATOR...)

same problem. Head lights come on in middle of night when its very cold outside. Jump started it and then turned it off and it wouldn't crank back up. Wouldn't make a sound. Did hear the fuse box ticking under the hood.

Could be one of two things.

1. Your starter motor is no good.
2. If you turn on your lights and try to start the car and they dim to almost black, then you need to check the battery connections.

Ya sounds like the electric shift solenoid. Problem with electrical. Will not give you a warning. Will go bad in a heartbeat. You can try unhooking plug that gos into the trans and spray electrical cleaner on it. plug back in. Wiggle some wires and maybe find one loose or broken wire or connection and hope for the best. But its probably the tranny with that many miles. Go to Advance Auto Parts they usually scan your car for free for codes. Good luck

It's probably one of these:

1.NSS- (Neutral Safety Switch)
2.CPS- (Crankshaft Position Sensor)

**Look here-
CPS 1/2 way down..

Check the circuit breaker in the fuse panel on the driver side kick panel. It is a small brown push button directly above the replaceable fuses. My girlfriend has the same year trooper and this has happened to her in the past. I found the breaker and it took care of the issue.

Engine want turnover

Im not that sure but you can try checking on the thermostat located at the end of the radiator hose entering the engine. If this gets stuck in the close position it can easily cause this problem. You can just have a mechanic remove it, you don't have to replace it. The thermostat helps in heating your car during start ups especially in winter, othewise you can do without it. MGA
