Re bryanvs' battery light flickering. This sounds like a slipping fan belt. Check your belt tension. A hard push with your thumb should bend the longest throw of the belt in by half an inch. Any more, and you may need to tighten the belt. Hope this helps.
Re rabturner's problem - battery warning light comes on after 10 minutes; This does sound like your alternator electronics becoming disabled as they warm up. Your electrician should be able to tell you whether your alternator is charging or not - take your car in after a good run, when the light is "on". If alternator is faulty, you can get a reconditioned one cheaper than a new one. All the best, OzKluger
