Yes....and no ! I have seen both, bent valves and no bent valves, but generally you'll bend at least the intake valves if the timing belt breaks..

The older ABA engine code is not an interference motor. If the belt broke at low RPM there should be no problems. I have replaced a number of broken belts with no problems, but have heard there may be issues at high engine speeds.

IS A 2001 VOLVO S80 2.4 MOTOR A NON INTERFERANCE MOTOR

The S60 model has a 2.4 five cylinder engine. That engine is not an interference engine.
The S80 uses a 6 cylinder 2.8 or 2.9 engine if it is sold in the US.

Timeing belt broke have replaced now not fireing

You either have the belt 180 degrees off. So you have to take belt off and turn crank only (slowly) around once to its mark again, but first you need to go to a website that lists motors that are called "interference fit" engines. (Think Gates belt co. has a list) If your motor is an interference fit then when belt broke the motor is trashed. Interference fit means that pistons can hit valves if the belt breaks. That is why they tell you to replace the timing belt before too long. Also if motor is interference fit when you try and turn crank go slow because you may bump into valve.

Timming belt shreded, do you think hurt anythig ,head valves ect. how mutch to fix 1997mazda millenia

Hi More than likely, most of the Mazda range are identified as an interference, in other words when the timing belt breaks or slips the pistons will hit the valves, my advice change the belt and then compression test the cylinders before removing the head just in case god smiled on you,

97sebring 2.5 litre(is it interference or non interference engine

Yes I double Salkim08's solution. Since your motor is made from Aluminum, this could be a big sign that it is an interferance motor. Aluminum expands twice as much as iron. Most old fashion V motors ( v6's V8's) are made with an Iron block and Aluminum heads. But new Transverse motors( sideways front wheel drive motors), block and cylinder head, are made of aluminum.
