Your door lock solenoid is bad or not plugged in. Check your wiring first with an ohm meter and if you are getting current then your solenoid is bad and you must replace it.

Understanding Trouble Codes 111, 211, 172 Hey everyone,

recently pulled some trouble codes from my ECU, the KOEO code gives me 111, which the book says is a system pass, so I am assuming thats not a bad thing. I further went on to get the stored codes which are as follows (I get the same codes while doing a running test as well).

Birthyear + age = 111 for Adults. birthyear + age = 11 Children. What is the mathematical reasoning for this?

well i figure it does. look at my age and birthday-
19 years old plus the year 92=111
for people in 93 they would only be 18=111
so if you take a year off the age you go up a year on the birthyear.

What is cod 564 and 111

Code 111 is a good thing. It is simply telling you that the PCM is finished outputting codes and that there are no further problems that it needs to tell you about. On a vehicle that has no problems with the computer controls, code 111 will be the only code that you will get. The time to worry about code 111 is when you cannot get the computer to give you this code. (usually caused by a failed computer)

Code 564 is a cooling fan control circuit code. If your engine has been overheating, this code is telling you why...your cooling fan is not working. Code 564 indicates a failure of the Low speed Fan Control (LFC) relay PRIMARY circuit. It can be caused by an open or shorted LFC primary circuit control or power wire, A defective LFC Relay, or a faulty PCM.

The relay is controlled by the YELLOW/WHITE wire at Pin #35 in the PCM. This wire needs to be checked for an open or shorted circuit. The relay is powered by the ENGINE fuse (15 Amp) in the Instrument Panel Fuse Block. If the engine starts, this fuse is good because is also supplies power to the starter relay. If the fuse is good and the wire has no short to ground or open circuit between the relay and the PCM, then I would try replacing the relay to see if it resolves the problem. If not, you will have to replace your PCM.

My check engine light is on in my 1994 f150 it flashes 9 times

This is a bit tricky without a book. There is a self test connector under the hood. It is usually in a small black holder clipped on the fuse block. There is a small single wire with a connector. ground that wire.

Now turn the key on, do not start. You will hear the relays click, fans cycle and all sorts of stuff. This is a normal self test. Now watch the check engine light. First a few quick flashes then after about a minute it will start flashing codes. Now your on-board computer uses three digit codes. so a flash pattern (I III IIII) would be code 134. It will repeat each code twice. A code 111 is everything normal. Next, you get a long single flash. This is called the separator code. Every code before the separator is a current problem. Every code after the separator is a memory code meaning it happened before, but it is not doing it now.

Good luck
