I had the same problem with my 99 F250SD, it was a problem with the condenser and the orifice tube. The Ford tech told me they get clogged. I had them replaced. Cost was worth it living in sunny Florida. Now it works great.

Agree with emissionwiz, just perform a refrigerant pressure test in addition.

Good luck.....

I think either the pressure switch that turns the AC compressor on and off is at fault or the magnetic clutch on the compressor is going open when it gets hot, when it stops working use a 12 volt test light to check if 12 volts is present at AC compressor connector, if it is'nt check the cycling switch in the low pressure line, that is the line that gets cold and is the largest size coming from the compressor, it may also be in the accumulator bottle.

1993 ford f250 7.3 liter diesel starting problems

It is worth ensuring the glow plugs are actually receiving current by attaching a test lamp during the starting process. Heater plug timer relays can cause problems.

A good cranking speed is necessary for good cold starting and also good injector spray patterns and break-off pressures. Bad spray patterns and low pressures, slow cranking and fuel drain-back are common problems.
Low compression pressures can also be a problem. If the other stuff has been checked and found to be ok it is worth having them tested.

2000 Ford F250 Disel: Nothing works on the panel for the a/c heater. The fan does nothing when you change speed there is nothing that comes out, there isnt any heat or cool, and when you turn the dial...

Pull the wires from the blower. Throw 12 volts and a ground to it(red is B+). If it comes on, it is good. Replace the controller. If it was the relay, some sort of blower speed would have happened. There are other wires to check, but you would have to loose other things to go this direction. Like accessory and ignition.

2001 Ford f250 air condition

I had this problem before in a different car and found out the duct work to the vent had come loose. The duct work could also have holes in it or blocked. To check this out you have to go into the dash.

The heater is not blowing hot air? 2001 F250

Hello rcd. IF it is blowing cold air, change the thermostat under the hood. IF it is not blowing at all, change the A/C relay under the dash to the right of the steering column. Joe

My f250 disel does not start up till 3o4 tries just white smoke comes out of the exhaust pipe

I suspect that you live somewhere where it has started getting cold. Your glow plugs are not working properly. If the system appears to be working, then check the plugs themselves. They do burn out. Hope this helps.

2001 f250 pull to left at all speeds

THe left brake caliper could be sticking on which would cause the vehicle to pull to the left at all speeds. Drive for a short distance and check carefully if the left wheel is hotter than the right. If it is hotter it's a good bet caliper is sticking

A/C controler on Ford F-250 not working. A/C blows but to defrost only, nothing occurs when switching to vent control. Please advise. Thank You.

No airflow at all or just not cold? The AC only runs in the AC , Max or either of the defrost modes to automatically dehumidify the air to reduce fogging. The other positions vent in outside (non conditioned) air.

My f250 is leaking fuel disel around the intake

You should check the injectors and their seals. Unless a line is leaking that is where you'll find the problem.
