I just got a 95 cavalier and it was running fine until my dad dropped it of and now it wont even turn over to start. It might be the battery but i dont know

just change the sparkplugs ,wires and see ..not too expensive

I would have the alternator checked. Sounds as if you are draining your battery completely down and the alternator is not keeping up.

obviously the altenator is running to earth inside ,could be a rectifier diode .change altenator and recharge battery

Might be something in your gas tank that gets stuck, I've heard of people putting whiffle balls in peoples gas tanks and that happens.

loosen the battery cable.... start the car with a boost.... after it is running... unhook the battery.... if it dies... replace the alternator... if it keeps running... replace the battery.... make sure this is done outside and everyone working on the car is wearing safety glasses

I had the same prob with my 95 cavalier over the summer some kind of senor I think ingnition mod senor if that sound right

Do you have a good 12v source of power when cranking at the starter solenoid wire and is that wire intact and on the right terminal?

Check all grounds running from all electrical, If there is not a good contact this problem will occur, when you locate the ground surface take sandpaper or even a knife and scrape or sand the connector and the ground surface then reconnect it, It should return to normal if not then it could be a solenoid possibly but not sure
