How do I find the horn under the hood:


Horn is under the front headlight light, which would have to be removed to access or pull the front wheel well liners out and look in just below the running lights. I believe 2 horns.

Horn dont work


could be fuse or relay, check for power at horns while horn pad depressed if fuse is ok (remove right headlamp assm, horns are inside bumper under headlight)

How do i check or replace the horn?


the horn should be like a puck from hockey but hollow and with a ram horns twist to open side port two wires ground and power...location is usually just behind headlights on inside of vehicles enginne compartment by radiator ,hope this helps..you can use a testlight to test power when horn pushed or make a jump wire to hook direct once you kno its grounded

My headlights wont come on. i checked fuses, bulbs and all is good. what might be the problem


Not an expert on autos but I did own a Buick Regal of that era. I had problems with mine also. They finally found that the wires to my headlight were crossed ad bare with the wires to my horn. Every time I turned on my light the horn kept blasting. Check for stripped wires near your headlights or have someone check them with a voltage meter to see if there is even power getting to the headlamps. Good luck.

Wheres my horn located need to replace it


  • Locate the original manufacturer's horns by looking under the hood.the most likely location is under the passenger side headlight.
  • Remove the passenger headlight. Unscrew two nuts on each side of the headlight with a socket wrench and remove it to expose the horns. Loosen the mounting bolt for the old horns with a socket wrench and unplug the power connectors. Remove the two horns.
  • Mount the new horns with the attachments that came in the kit. You should be able to simply mount the new horns in the old brackets if your kit is a direct factory replacement. Some custom horn kits include air compressors that may require you to install the horns in a non-standard location.
  • Plug the old wiring harnesses into the new horns if they are compatible to retain the factory wiring. Some aftermarket horn kits may include a custom wiring harness that you will need to connect to your car's original wiring using a wire/crimper splitter.
  • Test the new horns to ensure they work. Be aware that horns that use a compressor will be extremely loud.

Sometimes they are hidden behind the headlights. it is located behind passengers head light. You will need to remove the grill, and headlight to reach it. The horn is only held in by one screw. It has one plug providing power. You may need to ground the horn when replacing it. It took me no more than 30 minutes to completely replace and reassemble using a universal horn off the shelf.

2005 sebring convertible- horn goes off by itself for 30 seconds


FIrst off the horn's ground works through the steering wheel,so the wire is bare or the end is broken and grounding in a place where it should not. You will have to check the wires for the horn from the fuse box up to the wheel.
your power feed to the headlights and the door locks has an open ( the power is not connected somewhere ) Perform a wiggle test turn on the headlights and lift the hood,find the power distribution box and begin to wiggle the wire harness.Sometimes the chrysler fuse box under the hood get loose inside the power distribution box,it will have to be broken down all the way to the heavy wires comming out of hte box,you can tighten these connections your self.

Horn,headlights and rear defroster are all malfunctioning


Check the wiring, it sounds like a wire grounded out which makes the wire get hot and melt the insulation off of the wire and then melts into the surrounding wires. Which in turn the exposed wires make contact and can do all sorts of things depending on the wires involved.. in your case when you turn on the headlights it feeds power to the rear def. and the horn.
