1995 buick lesabre transmission problem or not?

My car revs in each gear, but you can feel it catch each time you move it from P,R,N,D and so on but will not move, replaced the transmission filter and still the same problem any ideas,or help would be great.

My problem is similar except if I rev the engine a bit while placing the car into D then R a few times the tranny will unlock and I'm able to drive normally. If I stop the car, then shutdown before shifting to park and start in neutral the tranny works fine, otherwise the tranny locks and I have to do the D R D R D R thing in order to get the car to move.

Ok the transmission is gone anytime a transmission slips between gears its bad and the worst thing you could have done was change the fluid and filter because the only thing holding any friction on the clutches was the old fluid once you drained the old fluid and added fresh you washed the last remaining particals of clutch material off and now the transmission is totally dead. you need to replace the transmission, torque converter and flush all of the old fluid with clutch particals from the transmission cooler and lines use air and brakek cleaner to blow out the debris from othe transmission cooler lines do it from both lines first one then the other line until no more junk comes out o it will "kill" the replacement tranmission.

How do I get my Buick to switch gears?

This is likely not a user repairable problem. Probably a worn out automatic transmission that needs to be rebuilt, or a vacuum actuator switch. Either will require a transmission mechanic.

You could have a shop check pump pressure - usually the cause is a weak pump or problems with the valve body.
Chances are if you just sit in drive at idle, it will also move on its own in a couple of minutes once the fluid warms up.
I never recommend changing fluid after 100k.

95 Mercury Mystique seems to be misfiring around 2000 and 3000 rpm. When I push down on the gas, it jumps or pops when it revs up to 3000 rpm. And it also seems the gears do not catch once I pass 2000 rpm...

Could be the transmission.Make sure it is full of fluid. Hold your foot on the brake and give it some gas with the other foot. If you feel a miss, then it is a miss fire.

The engine seems to cut out intermitenly, it kind of bucks, it almost feels like the transmission kicking out of gear sometimes

Is the Transmission give you this problem, check this real quick jack up both front wheel and spin by hand. The wheel shoul spin in different direction as soon as you spin, if you spin one wheel and the other wheel don't spin right a way, and catch up later on then is the problem

Sounds like the linkage has gotten loose from transmission. If not then something is broken in transmission. Is shifting feel normal or very loose?

Buick 2000 Le Sabre-transmission does not engage in any gear.

Try unplugging the electrical connection on the transmission to lock it in 3rd. It might get you moving. Although the transmission is going to need rebuilt or replaced.
