2002 oldsmobile intrigue intermittent trouble strarting

Has happened three times in 6 month but is now happening more frequently. When you try to start the car absolutely nothing happens. If you wait about 5 minutes and try again it will start but today it took three tries to get it to start. Dealership says this happens a lot and it could be ignition or security switch. No codes show up. Anyone else had this problem. If so did you get it fixed and how.

Security sensor was on since replacing an ignition switch. Now nothing on the car works except driver window switch slowly moves window up and down.tried resetting security and it didn't work. A PCS light flashed three times when key was turned.

Crankshaft position sensor problems causing stall/non-start are common in Intrigues 98-02, but the sensor is rarely malfunctioning - usually just a flake of metal attached to the magnetic sensing portion causing the error. Save money - inspect/clean/replace the sensor prior to buying new.

I had the same problem with my car, and it ended up being the Crankshaft Sensor... (not good)!

You may have a fuel pump slowly dying on you. If you cycle the key on and off a couple of times then it starts, you're not getting the correct initial fuel pressure or "priming" happening.

My 2002 olds intrigue security light comes on and the car will not start for about 15 minutes. This only happens maybe 4 times a month, WHY????

Replace the ignition switch in the dash. Contacts inside get burnt and set the code. Nasty job but is but if follow the steps it can be done. rock auto sells the switch for about 100 dollars. You can take the switch apart and clean the contacts with a point file or fine sand paper. There about 5 little points to clean. look online for instruction.

Could be electrical. These are a bit hard to determine - especially since it it intermittent. Try to notice if the dash lights (ignition circuit) goes out when this happens. This will tell you whether or not you are losing the ignition circuit.

2002 OLDSMOBILE INTRIGUE GX engine light on

There are many emission sensors in the car that will make the engine light come ON. Not to mention the big list of trouble codes for the engine light.

Best way to find out what's going on engine light is to have an auto-parts store hook up a engine code reader and tell you what the code means and the problem. Most auto-part store will do this for free.

Abs/trac off/service vehicle soon lights come on intermittent

its probably a wheel speed sensor or " " harness. if you replace your hub assembly it will take care of the problem. a new hub will run you between $100-$130. its an easy fix if you have a little mechanical knowledge. i dont know what labor would cost but if you know how to change your brakes you can figur it out.
