Sounds like the lugnuts have rust on them inside. Or someone way over tightened them to begin with. The lugnuts come off counter clockwise. The rims on your 92 are aluminum. There is a possibility of the rim is damaged to the point of not working. but the tire shop will know if it's still usable or not. I don't remember an "L" key that came stock on that car though. You may have to get a long cheater bar to break the lugnuts loose.

Help with learn mode.How to? sorry,it's a 2007 versa sl hatchback,not a sentra.

To activate a new transmitter in the tire pressure monitoring system WITHOUT the Nissan Consult scan tool: Under the dash above the OBD II connector is a single wire connector called the "tire pressure warning check connector". Use a jumper wire and ground the tire pressure warning check connector with the key OFF. Then turn the key ON and cycle the ground at the tire pressure warning check connector 5 times within 10 seconds of turning the key ON. This should cause the tire pressure monitor light to start flashing indicating the system is in "learn mode". Then use the activation tool starting at the left front tire and work around the vehicle in a clockwise direction - front left, front right, rear right and rear left. Activating each transmitter at each wheel should make the turn signal flash one time and after completing all 4 wheels, the turn signals should flash two times and all 4 time pressures should be displayed.

I was driving to work and I thought I had a flat tire because my car was still going but had felt like flat tire. I pulled over and got out. No flat tires. So I restarted it and it sounded fine. Then I put...

Depending on the car there may be an intermediate shaft that connects the axle to the transmission. The intermediate shaft is attached to the side of the engine using 2 to 3 bolts. It's most likely those. You need to take your car in to a mechanic and have it repaired.

What do need (tools) and the process to replace front and rear brakes in a 1998 Chevy Malibu?

Tools: 3/8 drive sockets and ratchet. 4, 6in extensions. 3/8 to 1/2 in adapter and 1/2 in breaker bar, SAE wrench set, hex key set (large) Long big flat screwdriver vise grips, pliers, brake spring tools. Jacks stands and tire equipment. Supplies: New pads, shoes, and brake fluid. Jack up the front and jackstand the car (block the back tires w/ wooden chocks). Remove the front tires. Loosen the caliper assembly bolts and pry the caliper away from the pads. Remove bolts and lift caliper up and out of the way being careful not to damage the lines and keeping the pads matched. Replace in reverse. Do the rear next. Remove tires, drums. Use the brake spring tools to take the shoes off front lining first. Place the springs on the ground neatly (like they looked on the backing plate). Replace in reverse. Start car and give brakes a few pumps and top off reservoir.

How do i replace the front axle assembly on my 1992 honda accord?

loosen the axle nut and then put the car on jack stands. take the tire off and then you have to remove the brake caliper, pop the lower link and tie rod loose. if you have a friend you can loosen the strut mount bolts and hold it to the side when you pull the axle. you can hammer the axle out of the wheel side but you will need a large pry bar or large flat head to pop the inner cv hub out. there is a retainer ring on the axle that keeps it popped in the trans. it will take some force to pop it out and sometimes there is indents on the cv to aid in the removal. be careful when prying against the trans. good luck

Change front tire

Hi,

Before you start make sure you have the following:
- jack or any other instrument to lift the car
- tool to open the tire bolts
- spare tire
- if you ar eon the side of the road a warning triangle or any other object to make sure the oncoming traffic can see you.

step 1 - Open the tire bolts, remove all of them but two. The bolts left on the tire should be left quite loose (you should be able to open then with your hands).

step 2 - Position jack underneath car & lift car. VERY IMPORTANT to make sure the jack if proparly positioned & that the car is stable (for a car that has one wheel in the air...), so it won't fall on you. Don't stop lifting once the flat tire is in the air, remmber you have to fit in a new tire. Lift it so the new tire can fit in.

step 3 - Remove the last to bolts with your hands, while loosening secure the tire with one hand so it won't fall on you.

step 4 - Remove flat tire, while doing make sure not to damage the bolt which the tire sits on.

step 5 - Fit new tire in, screw 2 bolts by hand to secure it place.

step 6 - Screw rest of bolt by hand so secure tire in place. Make sure to "push" the tire as firm as possible to the car.

step 7 - Lower car. Do this slowly incase the tire isn't sitting properly.

step 8 - Tighten all the bolts properly, don't over tighten them, cause the next time you have to change the tire, you won't be able to open them.

step 9 - After driving a bit with the car, retighten the bolts, just to make sure nothing is loose.

This only sounds a bit complicated it's much simpler in practice then on paper.
Good luck & congretulations,
Eitan.
