The battery and alternator does not have any link with the ABS and so the case of the ABS indication coming up while it is started can be also due to the brake pressure not build up as the pedal is OFF. So try putting your foot on the brake and start. If not the unit is malfunctioning, or if there is a sensor fault in the wheels.

I have a Plymouth Grand Voyager that I just replaced the egr valve on, and it wont crank over. any ideas?

Sounds strange that "no crank" after just changing EGR valve...go back to basics...check the battery post connections, all of your lights can still work with a dirty connection...the starter requires a lot more juice to crank...Hope this helps.

I was driving my 1995 plymouth grand voyager about 55 and went to accelerate when engine shut off and now all it has is a click but wont restart what could be problem

Sounds like the alternator went out (quit charging) and you have been running on the remaining charge of the battery until it was depleted. Try a jump start to crank it again , if it restarts, remove cables and look at dash warning lights for a red battery. It will not run long before it shuts down again. Alternator replacement will be needed. Hope this helped. Good Luck !

1999 plymouth grand voyager voltage regulator

Not all bench tests on alternators are reliable. That battery has to be brought back to a full charge. It could be a simple connection to the alternator. Check those battery cables as well make sure the ground wire is secure.

I have a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE and I just replaced Alternator, battery, PCM. The alternator is not receiving enough power to charge the battery. Only putting out 11.58. What could be the p

First, you state "the battery is only getting 11.58". This implies the alternator IS charging albeit too low. I would connect the voltmeter to the main terminal on the alternator and take a reading before starting the motor, then again with the motor running at around 1500 RPM (fast idle). This will indicate whether the alternator is working or not.

Getting back to the ign light, does it remain at the same brilliance before starting the engine and after?

I had the serpentine belt replaced on my 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager about two months ago. Everything was going fine with it, no problems or anything, until like a week and a half to two weeks ago, when I...

Check the alternator pulley for a wobble when the engine is running. WIth the belt off pull up and
down on the pulley, check for up and down movement. If the belt popped off, you have some movement on one of the pulleys, a bad belt tensioner, or just the wrong belt. So check the belt tensioner as well. And find the part number on the new belt and check online to see if its the correct belt. But Im fairly certain its the alternator.

I think you have a bad bearing on your alternator. The bearing can become loose and reseat itself for a while, then loose again. Could explain the battery light randomly coming on.

Have the alternator bench tested at the auto parts store as well.
