No fuses for that. on this model, i got a 2000, there is an input and an output speed sensor on the transmission. check for loose/broken wires and connection there first. then test sensors if the problem is not resolved yet. they transmit the signal to the computer that returns it to the speedometer
I think that either the sensor in the gearbox has packed up or the speedo head

Thanks for your help. I ended up removing the sensor probe, cleaning it off and reinstalling it. Then I remembered one of the answers to this problem was to take out the display and manually turn the speedo needle back to the stop pin. I did this(not to mention contact cleaner in the probe plugs)and took her out for a test ride and its working again.Just so everyone knows my ohm reading on my sensor was between 650 and 652.
