Loose change lodged in mechanism ?. Remove seat and collect loose change or other problem with slider lock.

FYI...Not a common problem with the seat mechanism.

I have a 2001 TDI New Beetle, and the drivers side lock mechanism will not function, the tracks are clear and the cable is intact. It is 10 below freezing thought maybe the mechanism has accumulated water and froze, but once car was hot and above freezing lock pin would still not engage.

Rear drivers side seat is stuck down on my Mercedes 2004 ml350, how can I get it to release and come up

there is a cable that runs from outer handle on the seat and connects to a rotating tube/latch at the inner seat frame. you will need to use a long flat scew driver from behind that part of he seat to slip in theat latch and twist to unlatch that seat then you canr repair the cable.

2005 gmc yukon third row latch #1 stuck

There is a cable that connects the handle to the latch, the cables like to break/stretch, sometimes if you look close at the rear of the seat where it attaches to the floor you can see the latch and manually release it with a long screw driver or similar tool.
Cables are avaiable from GM dealer if thats the problem.

Drivers seat won't latch

Will it latch if you push the release handle down, you know opposite of trying to get it to release? It might be a broken or dislodged retaining spring that pulls downward pressure on the release handle. If this is not the problem then the teeth on the gear that the release handle engage are possibly worn out.

Latch on Driver seat is stuck

Go and get a new latch and try to install it. Or you can look under the seat. BE CAREFUL you should be able to get to the latch and put it into place that way. You will pinch your fingers if you are not careful
