Check your ecm and your safety park switch. if auto, take the lock out of shifter. under consolt it might be jammed up. check the battery, put the battery back in the car have someone else try to start it, And you listen to the starter, if it wines as in a struggle to turn then you have, something wrong with the motor, you must carefully listen to the stater put your hand on it and see if it gets warm. To better help you I need to know exactly what the car is as in auto, manual etc. fill free to write me at carpenter_67@hotmail.com sorry couldnt be any farther help.

Hi. It sounds like the ignition switch [the place where you put the key] needs to be replaced. Any lock smith can do this, and they can do it where your car is parked. Joe

You may be low on transmission fluid or the torque converter is going bad. Check automatic transmission fluid level with the car idling on a level surface.

My 95 eagle talon wont turn over there was vice grips holding the battery cable on and it moved and arched

THe first thing to do is go buy new battery cable clamps. A pair would be less than $10. If you are lucky you will be able to recharge your battery and everything will be okay. If it won't recharge then you will have to buy a new one, don't forget the clamps.

Sounds like you have a timing or elctrical issues, try checking your voltage from your battery and alterantor, if it checks out fine move on to your timing. The timing is tricky but very critical with these cars
