Question about 1991 Mercedes-Benz Mercedes Benz Sl Class

Further explaination to my roof problems.

Thank you very much for your answer but the problem is that nothing regarding the roofs is working by electricity though all measurements made at car service show there is nothing wrong with the system and they were not able to help us there.

With kind regards
Rino Morgenstern

Replace softop control module assuming the repair facility did a good job. I would make sure you have power and ground to the unit. It is located in the r side storage compartment under plastic false floor. unplug unit for 30 seconds and reconnect and see if the unit begins to work. They do fail a lot.

The earlier systems had a separate control module for the roll bar system. The roll bar system has to be operational in order for the sof top module to work. First does the roll bar operate? Is the roll bar lamp illuminated. It is possible that if the system is inop. that the roll bar was deployed mechanically via axle travel switches. If this is the case you must hold roll bar switch in the up position until the rams lock into the bar. Before I get to heavy on a diagnostic plan-does the system work o.k.!

How can i reset the computer on a peugeot 206 cc

I have a 206 cc of production year 2002 and the following solution worked for me. My problem was that the roof would not close anymore electronically and there were continuous (and annoying) beeps when driving. Following solved my problem:
1. Followed instructions to close the roof manually. This you can normally find on your cars manual. Alternatively have a look at video above for the manual closing of the roof.
2. After successfully closing the roof manually re-position the jumpers to automatic locking position. and re-tighten the depressurization bult.
3. Open the roof normally with the electric roof-switch. (check that the net at trunk is also closed).
These steps helped me reset the automatic roof mechanism.

I have a 2004 mini cooper convertible. The roof opens to half way and will then flash red if i want it ti close all the way, All windows shut initally, but now when closing the roof the driver side rear...

I am not sure what you are trying to do. But if the problem is that the roof will only open to the first stage, sun roof, and no further, the problem is the package shelf in the trunk.

If the package lid gets pushed up and is not pushed back to it's normal position, the roof will fail to open completely. If you lift the bottom of the roof at the boot, there are levers on either side to release the bottom edge of the roof, you can make certain that the package shelf is seated correctly. Once the shelf is seated, the roof will open in all of it's glory.

My sun roof/moon roof won't open, i can hear the motor working but it's not catching anything

The cables have become disconnected inside the roof, either broken or just unclipped, if you never worked on a sunroof it may benefit you to find a sun roof professional as to avoid any possible further problems.

Audi A4 Cabriolet roof stopping half way open

refer to the owners manual, for instructions to put down roof by hand, they are not easy to follow, however, the manual key they refer to is in the fuse panel, the 1st lock to undo is in the middle section of the back seat, next the lock for the front section push down roof and lock in place. the warning light at this point will still be flashing, and the display saying roof unsecure. the bit everyone seems to forget is to go back to the middle back seat lock and relock, once that is done, display clears, and both roof and boot should work. i have no idea why this fault occured just hoping its doesn't too often. suggest also you always have engine on when operating roof. hope you find this usefull.

BMW X 3 Panoramic sun roof initialization.

title says X5, but description says X3. i'll explain for an X5, but X3 with the pano should be the same. and i'll explain function of the roof, not reprogramming.

button is located on the panel at the top near the front & center windshield. its the switch on the far left on this panel. its a switch that not only toggles, but also slides forward & back.

with your finger in front of the button, slide it back & release. this will make the cover slide back and store revealing the sun roof. you know have 2 options (tilt the sunroof up or open the roof completely).

to tilt it up, press up on the rear of the button and release. the rear of both roofs will pop up. to close, push up and release the front of the button or slide the switch forward.

to slide it open completely, repeat what you did to open the protective cover (slide the switch from front to back). the roof will open completely and stow out of the way. to close, slide the switch forward and release. pano roof will now close.

to close the cover, slide the switch forward again.

neat trick: if you want to tilt the sunroof open without opening the protective cover, press up on the rear of the button (when the cover is closed) and release. the cover will separate in the middle exposing about a 2-3 inch mesh, then tilts the sunroof open. to close, push the button forward again.

also, if you are above a certain speed (can't remember what it is off hand) with the sunroof open or tilted, it will close automatically, then perform the neat trick on its own to keep air coming in.

one last trick: if you want to open the windows and sunroof from outside, press & hold the unlock button (forward button on the key) and you will see the windows go down, then the roof will open to vent. releasing the button will stop the motion of the windows & roof.

hope this answered what you were asking.
