Question about 1998 Pontiac Bonneville
THE OIL PRESSURE IS AT SPEC WHEN DRIVING BUT WHEN I PULL UP FOR A STOP LIGHT IT GOES DOWN IN TO THE RED WARNING AREA. I HAVE CHECKED THE PRESSURE WITH A GAUGE AND FOUND IT TO BE ABOUT 10 PSI.

It might be your oil pressure switch. But it might not. My 1997 did that for a couple of days, because it was leaking oil through that switch.
