If it has the central fuel injection, the regulator is on the metering
body under the intake pletium. auto parts gets about $45 dollars for it. you also need to replace gaskets as well.

Check the air filter box for fuel lying in it then pull the vacuum hose off of the map sensor and see if any fuel runs out of it.If you see fuel in either of these or both of them then replace the fuel pressure regulator.

A 1997 Trail Blazer on the fuel pressure regulator is there to be a vacum line and if so where is it run to. Thank you

If it's vacuum operated, the regulator would be on your fuel rail. It would have a fitting/nipple for the vacuum line to connect to. The line would come from the intake manifold, somewhere, but a vac. line specific for the regulator. Some cars use means other than vacuum to regulate fuel pressure. Some even have the pressure regulator in the tank with the pump. Not exactly sure about your '97 blazer.I hope somebody else here knows.

96 chevrolet blazer 4.3 when truck sits over night it cranks over for 3-6 seconds before starting. will start a little quicker if gas pedal is slightly pressed?

There are several common fixes for this problem. Fuel spider is one, fuel pressure regulator is another. However, the most common and likely is your fuel pump module assembly. The fuel pump has to be able to hold pressure from the fuel tank all the way to the regulator. It works just like a foot valve on a well. When it goes bad it let's the fuel in the lines & fuel filter bleed the fuel back to the tank when not in use.when you try to start it after it sits, the fuel has to flow all the way back to the engine. Although the fuel pump is the most expensive of these items, more often than not, that will fix it. Fuel filter should also be checked and replaced if installing a new pump.

Where is fuel pressure regulatore located

For 2000 Chevrolet Truck Blazer 4WD 4.3L SFI 6cyl
If your engine is a 4.3L V-6 with CPI (central point injection) it is inside the upper intake manifold. The upper intake manifold is bolted on top of the normal intake manifold.

The throttle body is mounted on it and your fuel lines terminate into the center of this.

Removal & Installation
  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator.
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness from the retaining clips at the front of the engine.
  4. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.
  5. Clean any dirt from the fuel pressure regulator and the surrounding area.
  6. Disconnect the fuel return pipe.
  7. Remove the fuel return pipe retainer.
  8. Remove the fuel pressure regulator retainer.
  9. Remove the fuel pressure regulator.
  10. Inspect the regulator filter screen for contamination. If contaminated, replace the fuel pressure regulator.
To install:

aaf5240.jpg
Fig. Fuel pressure regulator-4.2L engine
  1. Install the regulator filter.
  2. Install the new O-ring on the fuel pressure regulator.
  3. Lubricate the fuel pressure regulator O-ring with clean engine oil.
  4. Push the fuel pressure regulator into the regulator housing on the fuel rail.
  5. Install the fuel pressure regulator retainer. Tighten the regulator retainer screw to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
  6. Install the fuel return pipe retainer. Tighten the return pipe retainer screw to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
  7. Connect the fuel return pipe.
  8. Connect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
  10. Inspect for leaks:
    1. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn ON the ignition.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
  11. Install the engine wiring harness into the retaining clips at the front of the engine.
  12. Install the air intake resonator.
Hope help with this (remember rated this post).

My 96 blazer doesn't start. It is getting gas and

sounds like the fuel pump isn't working. check your fuses. and when you turn the ignition on don't try to start it but just turn it to the on position and listen for a humming noise that would be you fuel pump pressurizing the lines if you don't hear a noise then i would replace the fuel pump. Hope this helps.

Fuel pressure regulator

Two places to look...if you have separate injectors for each cylinder then regulator should be at the front end of the fuel rail. If you have throttle body injection it is on the throttle body itself.
