Hey
more details required , could be a number of things. does the car have to sit for awhile or can you start it. turn it off an start right back up an not have to crank it for awhile? if not could be the fuel pump will not hold a prime.

Changed battery now no power

Yes this is a problem, unfortunately you may have to bring it to a Volkswagen dealer for them to fix this issue. First try to lock and unlock the drivers side door with the Key instead of the automatic unlock button on the remote. If this doesn't work continue to insert the key into the ignition turn it to the on position, do not try to start it yet, and pump the gas peddle three times holding down the third time, then try to start the car.

Keep burning up ignition coils

I cannot explain why they keep buring up. However I discovered that there was a recall on volkwagen ignition coils from 2001-2003. You can get more information on it here.
