Question about 2004 Ford Expedition

2004 Ford Expedition AC

My AC diverts from the front blowers to the windshield blowers. The AC still blows cold but it does not come out of the front holes. It has been like this for a while. During the winter months it was fine, but the summer is here now. Any ideas? I checked some of the fuses and everything seems to be fine. My A/C diverts from dash to windshield at around 50 to 70 miles per hour when the engine is under load (going up a hill or heavy accelerating) it will blow in this mode until the load is let up (letting off the accelerator or eclipsing the hill). I have been to the dealer three times and each time they replace vaccum lines, or a check valve or something around there. And each time the cars just does it again. Any suggestions?

My ac does not blow through the front holes when I accelerate, but comes back on once I let off the gas pedal. I can still hear the ac motor working and it sounds fine, I just cannot feel it. It seems to be getting worse.

Please help me if you can.

    Thank you.

It seems you have a A/C Vacuum leak. I will let you know how I fixed after I am done.

2004 expedition when a turn on the AC the vents in the front don't blow any air

sounds like the front blower motor is bad on the passenger side under the dash. remove the panel under dash and you will see the blower motor housing and blower motor. check the plug in on the bottom of motor if it is plugged up and not working pull the motor out by removing the screws around motor and dropping out hook directly to battery and see if it works if it does it is a fuse or relay.

I have a 2006 Ford Expedition. The Air

you have a vacuum loss to the ac control head, the motors that divert air are vacuum operated, if you loose vacuum the system goes to defrost for safety reasons, the vacuum comes from the engine, then goes o a plastic vacuum tank under the hook start there, it is a 3/16 id hose.

Have a 2000 ford expedition and the ac in the front blows hot but the rear ac works fine. what could it be

Listen and see if the vent flap is moving from the hot position, to the cold position. If that's working then the evaporator may be clogged. It sits inside the same box that the heater core is inside of and if it becomes clogged with hair or dust, then it wont allow the blower to blow through it. But it would then bring hot air through the vents because the heater core is there too.
