Question about 2002 Honda Odyssey

Clicking noise while turning

We've noticed a clicking noise while turning left or right at low speeds. We can also hear it when the van is parked and turning the steering wheel. It doesn't look like the cv joints since none of the boots are torn or any signs of grease are present. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Kigabth,
It could be the suspension springs...try looking at the rubber custions which they rest on....You'll need spring compressors if you want to do the job yourself....If you just want to pin point the problem, use a piece of rubber pipe and get someone to turn the wheels while you listen....You can then tell your repair shop what you want done.

All the best

Signs of awheel bearing going on a daf cf85 430 articulated lorry 2004 ?

Wheel initally with start making a washing machine noise or grinding sound when doing sharp turns the opposite of the wheel side as the outer race will generally go bad first. You may also notice the rim heating up due to friction. Grinding at low speed or a growling sound would dictate an inspection.

How can I tell if my universal joints are bad ?

The easiest way would be to take hard turns in a parking lot at slow speeds both left and right. If you hear a clicking noise and as you slowly speed up noise follows speed, most likely the front universal joint. Or you could have it checked out by a qualified mechanic. .

2003 dodge caravan will not start. Makes a clicking noise, and dash shuts off, then makes a humming sound.

im going to say an almost dead battery .the hum you hear might be the fuel pump.you never heard it before because the van normaly starts .so boost your van if it starts you may have to replace the altenator the guages, no worries many cars do that .thats a code needing erased and if you disconnect the battery that may go away.

The front right tire clicks when driving. the speed of the clicking increases as speed of the car increases. what is causing the clicking sound?

possibly a cv joint is going or perhaps a wheel bearing. any other symptoms ? in a parking lot turn the wheel all the way to the right and drive slowly in a circle and listen for a clicking sound... then turn it to the left and repeat. make sure it's an empty parking lot and you don't hit anything.
