This is a fun fix. It is under the glove box. If I remember correctly you need a 1/4 socket for almost everything. I also found out the hard way that it is a whole lot easier if you pull the blower motor out first.

the resistor is below the glove box. remove glove box, and you will see the blower motor. resistor is beside the blower motor. it only has a couple of screws.if you think you can get to it without removing glove box. this is fine.the resistor has about 4 wires going to it. good-day!
REMOVE LOWER RIGHT DASH INSULATOR PANEL FROM BELOW THE GLOVE BOX.YOU HAVE TO SLIDE BCM MODULE ASIDE THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR ON THE BLOWER MOTOR HOUSING WHERE ELECTRICAL CONNECT TO BLOWER MOTOR. TO KEEP FROM SETTING OFF THE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM, WHEN YOU MOVE THE BCM MODULE. ASIDE FIRST TURN OFF RADIO,THEN DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.THEN REPLACE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR.
RELAY SHOULD BE ON TOP OF AIR PLENUM BEHIND GLOVE BOX (MOST GM)
THE RESISTOR IS LOCATED UP STEEM FROM BLOWER MOTOR (BOTTOM PASSENGER SIDE) CHECK FOR POWER AT BLOWER MOTRO CONECTION FIRST AND FUSE ALSO
VERY RARE TO LOOSE ALL SPEED AT ONCE UNLESS FUSE OR BLOWER MOTOR OR
This problem is caused by a defective blower motor speed control resistor.
BLOWER MOTOR LOCATION
The blower motor resistor is located under the glove box. You can locate it by finding a 4 wire connector, directly below the glove box hinge (towards the front of the truck). There are 2 screws holding it in. A mirror is helpful in replacing this, but I managed to replace it without one. You will need a nut driver to remove the screws. My suggestion is to leave the wires connected to the resistor while removing the screws.
The blower motor resistor is located behind the glove compartment adjacent to the blower motor. There is a access door under the dash right below the glove box, There are few screws that you will have to remove to take the door out.The blower motor resistor, is to the left of the blower motor in the air conditioning case. The blower motor resistor is held by screws, remove the screws to take the resistor out.Keep updated with any further queries.Thanks.
If the blower motor is only running on high the problem is the blower motor resistor. location for resistor is behind the glove box. Remove all items in glove box. remove glove box from dash and to the left of the blower motor you will see a electrical plug, remove the plug and the resistor mounting bolts. remove the resistor and replace it with new resistor. reinstall all items as you have taken them off. hope this will help you.
