1983 ford 460 cubic-inch

Starts and idles ok but when i start down the road and start to accellorateit starts to miss when i let of the gas it seem to run a little better but when i start up a hill i dont think im going to make it i have noticed that while going up hill if i give the accelorator a pump or twe it picks up a little but then seems to slow again. i have changed both fuel filters

What a great truck I've had two, one I drove around in mexico for 6 months. You need to change the fuel filter. It is located under the truck on the fuel line coming from tank about even with the seat. You need a wrench set. Make sure you have the arrow on the new filter going the proper way, toward the motor. Good luck, thats a tough truck

1983 Buick LeSabre Wagon, cuts out driving down the road

Find the EGR valve on the intake and locate the vacuum hose that is connected to it. Start the engine cold and as it warms up, pull the hose off and if it idles and drives fine, the EGR valve is bad and needs to be replaced. Please rate me on this answer.

1990 f150 w/5.8 FI motor, idles good, take on road, it boggs down

Have you changed the tps? The tps is like a dimmer switch with the idle being the lowest setting and everything above that being progressively stronger. If the switch is bad it will not advance spark or gas flow.
