Question about 1998 Honda Prelude
I was driving down the highway when the car lost all engine power. when i got the side of the road the car was still running untill i came to a complete stop then it died. i have fuel in it. and now when i go to try and start it. the engine turns but does not go all the way. it also puttered acouple times actin like it was going to start.
Timing belt broke. does it have a distributor? Take cap off and note position of rotor if it has one, bump starter and note if distributor rotor moved, if not you need a timing belt. also you can look under the oil cap to see valves and have someone start it, you should see the rockers move, if not, belt.
