Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My heater/ac blower stopped working and at the same time my turn signals no longer work. Fuse #20 shown here http://www.wjjeeps.com/fuses.htm was blown. I replaced it, turned to key on and it immediately popped again.
According to these diagrams http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c1528004242b both those components (maybe some others too) use that fuse.
So I figure I have a short somewhere but where to start? I replace the normally 10A fuse with a 30A, turn on the key and the turn signals and blower work fine, but as expected I get smoke....I trace the smoke to a now small burn in a pink & white wire, which is compatible with what the above wiring diagram shows. As far as I can tell, the wire goes directly from the junction box to the blower control on the dash.
So is the blower control the culprit? Or where might I have a short if that's the case?

You've probably solved your problem by now but if not, you really need to buy a cheap digital multimeter. It will help you in this kind of situation and others.
Connecting it between the output side of the fuse for that circuit and ground can let you start pulling connectors until the low resistance causing the blown fuses goes away.
Experience with this kind of troubleshooting helps so you may be a little uncertain at first.
They can be had at auto-parts stores, Radio Shack, or if you are lucky enough to have a Harbor Freight tool store near you, they often have the things for $3 and while not exactly precision instruments, they are adequate for most anything one can do at home.
