The guest is right...there is no dipstick. there are 2 plugs and the one you want is called the overflow plug. it is smaller than the drain plug and in a recess.

I don't know exactly. I've seen them accessible from right under the hood and I've seen them down just on top of the transmission (very short stick). The best thing for you to know exactly where they are and to fix anything else on your ride is to get a Haynes Repair Manual. Check it out: http://www.haynes.com/products/searchType/vehicleApplicationSearch2/searchEnd/yes/sfID1//sfID2//sfID3//year/1998/make/Isuzu/model/Rodeo/x/19/y/12/productID/209. Good Luck!

I cant figer out where the transmission oil goes!!!

There is no dipstick and tube. There is a fill plug and drain plug in the transmission oil pan.The lower plug is for draining and the upper plug is for filling and checking.Fluid should run out of the top plug with the engine idling in park on level ground. This a real trick to do without a lift.Good luck!

I believe that I have a transmission leak and I am low on fluid but I have no idea how to put it in. Also I used to have an isuzu trooper that took 5W 30 oil instead of transmission fluid is that the case...

Probably not the case on the oil. If you're not certain about the oil, I would call a dealership to find out. Most vehicles use Dextron/Mercon and you have to use a funnel and put it in through the dipstick tube. Hope this helps

How do I add transmission fluid to a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo?

Didn't I just answer this question? If you have no dipstick, which the newer ones didn't, you have 2 plugs on the side of the transmission, one is for fill and one is for level. Pull the bottom plug out for level, the oil should just seep out, if not, pull the top plug and fill it up till the oil seeps out the bottom. Terrible design, but I don't think they want you messing with it, they want the dealer to do it, but since he moved back to Japan, you have to find somebody else. Hope this helps.

Where is my transmission dipstick or fill

if it has a 4L30 in it it has no distick. the fiter is in the pan. look at the pan it has 2 drain plugs the one position at a higher level is the fill hole the lower the drain. i wouldnt suggest doin this at home unless you have a lift and a way to pressurize your fluid cause it dont flow up.
