On each side of your motor you have exhaust manifolds, under the manifold is silver colored heat shields. Your spark plugs are located under the heat shields

I cant find the spark plugs on my 1991 kia sportage

If your sportage has the 4 cylinder engine, there is a plastic cover over the engine that is held down by 4 bolts, one at each corner. Remove the bolts with a 10mm socket and lift he cover off and lay it aside. You will see the spark plug wires and the 4 holes where the spark plugs are. The spark plugs are about 4 inches down into the holes. Be careful removing the spark plug wires, they will be tight, and you will have to rotate them back and forth while pulling up to get them loose.

Oil in the sparkplug hole

O-ring seal for spark plug are leaking. Located under valve cover.
To replace them,
1.unplug spark plug wire from spark plug.
2.remove valve on top of engine, by loosing the 5(10mm) bolts and disconnecting air hose.
you might have to use a pry bar to pry valve cover off.
3. flip cover upside down and you'll see that there's one o-ring per spark plug hole. remove them and install new one. You might want to replace valve cover gasket too.

Location of the spark plugs?

Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator from the engine. (the plastic thing in the middle) the coils sit right on top of the plugs. Disconnect the ignition coil connectors, then remove the bolt and pull out the coil. the sparkplug is at the bottom of the hole :) remember to torque the bolt back down to 89 in-lb (10 Nm) and use alittle dielectric grease on the end of the boot. and finally dont forget the anti-sieze compound on the threads of the new sparkplugs before installing :)

I need to change the spark plugs where r they located and which kind is the best for my car because there is a single pin and twin pin.

Hi! The sparkplugs are concealed with the top engine cover. YOu need to remove the top cover using a torx bit. Once removed you'll see the spark plug wires, pull the wires and you'll now have access to the sparkplugs. Rotate counter clockwise to remove the plugs and replace using the new sparkplugs. I strongly suggest an IRIDIUM spark plugs but if not available you'll be good at PLATINUM both single pin. Hope this helps and have a good one!

Where are sparkplugs located

THERE IS A LARGE PLASTIC COVER ON TOP OF THE ENGINE. REMOVE THE BOLTS THAT HOLD IT IN PLACE AND LIFT IT UP. UNDER THE COVER YOU WILL SEE BOLTS HOLDING THE INDIVIDUAL COILS ON EACH SPARK PLUG BOOT. REMOVE THEM AND CAREFULLY TWIST AND PULL UP ON THE COIL AND YOU SHOULD SEE THE SPARK PLUGS UNDER EACH ONE. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. LET ME KNOW. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

Spark plugs

on top center of the engine. You would have to remove the intake hose. There is 6 COPs or Coil over plugs mounted on top of the sparkplugs. Remove those and the sparkplugs are accessable. Hopefully this helps

The best way to check for spark is to remove a sparkplug wire from one of the sparkplugs on you engine and then take one of the spark plugs that you replaced and connect it to that plug wire. Make sure the plug is touching bare metal and have someone crank your engine. You should see a spark at the end of the plug. As far as a stuck injector you need to see if your getting spark first. Let me know what you find.
