First check that you have voltage to the switch with a 22 volt test lite then trace the wire down to the mirror motor on the mirror press the switch if the test lite glows change the mirror if know lite comes on when you press the switch while probing the window motor wires change the switch
Check to see if the mirrors share a fuse with another circuit, if fuse is good, check for 12v at the mirror, if no voltage check for 12v going to the power mirror switch. If no voltage check for 12v at the ignition circuit that feeds 12v to the power mirrors.
Two things to check. First, depending which is easier (check that one first) you need to see if you are getting power to the switch itself. If neither mirror works, then the switch is dead, or one of the wires going to the mirror is dead. That is the most likely. The second would be to check if you are getting power out of the fuse box going to the power mirror switch, that way you can help determine if its a wirring problem.
I believe that the mirrors and entry issues are not related to the overhead console. Compass/temp failure is a very common problem with many of the mid 2000 Ford truck and SUV overhead consoles. The console is very prone to internal failure. If the dome lights work but the compass unit does not then it is a faulty computer unit. Aside from the fuses, your drive side power door lock may be failing to work because of a bad door-lock relay system, or, alternatively, the locking switch/button, itself, is not malfunctioning and in need of replacement.
Ford's are notorious for electrical 'ghosts'. If the fuses are all fine.. and the motors for the windows and the light bulb for the dome light are good... probably not much that can be done unless you want to give it to the dealer for diagnosis and repair, but they'll probably tell you they can't find the problem.
