Question about 1999 Dodge Dakota
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE IT WILL SHUT OFF, IT HAS BEEN DOING IT FOR A YEAR NOW, I'VE CALL MECHANICS AND HAVE HAD IT LOOKED AT. NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. ALSO I CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT NOW I HAVE NO HEAT AT ALL.
For the stalling problem, try resetting the computer by removing the positive cable for 10 mins.....
If this does not work, you more than likely have a problem with your coil packs.
changing the thermostate, you always have to make sure you put the thermostat in with the spring facing down, if not it will not open, if you did put it spring down, then it is possible it was a bad thermostat, time to time they can be bad, even when brand new.
