Flushing radator how do i get to the plug on the bottom

    I'm with you! Taking off the skid panel is such a pain!

You will find it on the bottom tank of the radiator, most times it is on the same side as the filler neck, there is a keyed special socket to loosen it if it is rusted shut, you can buy the tool cheap from any parts store.

You have to pull skid panel, IMO its much eaiser to pull the bottom hose off the block and fly.

Radiator drains are typically at the bottom, often on the engine side. A very few don't have drains, and you just remove the bottom hose to drain.

Cant find the drain plug for the radator
its on the bottom of the radiator, if you still can't find it, you can loosen the bottom radiator hose and let it out that way.

You might need to fluss the radator out with a hose pip. take the botom hose off and take th radator cap off. then crank the car up. stick the water hose in the top of the radator were the cap you took off and let the water run throu the radator for feww min.

How do i flush the radator
The correct way would be to use a flushing machine to keep from polluting the ground or storm drains.
You could remove the lower hose and run water thru the radiator from the radiator cap or overflow tank.

My VW 1999 beetle keeps over heating! Even after I have replaced the thermostat, cooling temp switch, and water pump. Why is it keep over heating...???? The radator hose on top gets hot then the bottom...
it looks that maybe you have a faulty new thermostat or is not the correct model. also check for the fans and fan relay.

Overheating
at the bottom of the radator at one of the corners useally the left side there is what is called a petcock, turn that counter clock wise and the radator will start to drain, open the radator cap and it will go alot faster.

Want to change sparkplugs what do i have to do,also want to flush and fill radater where is recepatcle drain plug
For the sparkplugs: The only thing to do is to get them out.. and replace.. with tightening, not to loose and never TOO tight!!! stuck is stuck...
and isn't it the easiest way to pull off the lowest hose off the radiator?..

I want to flush my radator on my 91 honda accord and i need to know. where is the drain plug for it?
If memory serves me it will be in the middle bottom under the plastic cover. Hope this helps. Richard
