Hi I installed rebuilt 350 v-8 engine in a 1970 chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup with a 1982 el camino 0em hei distributor in july 2003. Had no problems until now. Have now done a complete tune up (Plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, coil, even a rebuilt starter and solenoid). Since then the coil has to be replaced every week due to failure. Please Help.
please make shure that you have the hot wire on a switch this is the wire that goes to the side if the distributer if the wire that you have in place right now is hot al the time it will overheat the coil and burn it out ok good luck
you change the coil every week when you open the distributor cap the pick up coit it has 2 wire and is connected to module pull those wire gently to see if there not broken those wire break inside the plstic if you visualy check it only youre not gonns see then pull a bit it they break that that the problem hope it help fixya our post thanks pierre

I have a 1995 Legacy LS 4 cyl 4 speed automatic, 201k. I had the transmission fluid and filter changed on Thursday, 12/18/09. It was over full at the time I changed it. Got it back and it ran well for a day. Since Friday, it has on occasion lurched and shuddered trying to get into gear (out of first and/or second). I don't know what it means or what is causing this. Any help is appreciated.
