The heater fan on my 2005 RX 330 makes noise when it runs - particularly on low speed setting. Sounds like it needs to be oiled or something.

The fan may have come loose at the mounting points & shifted cracking or warping the fan/blades... Either that or something has fallen in & making contact with the fan

It does not sound like it is hitting anything. More like a bearing problem?

Ah ok. Well depending on the fan type, Blade or Turbine, some may have a replacement part/bearing others will have the bearing permanently mounted in the motor (no servicable parts) I'd say try a small squirt of WD40 if u can actually pinpoint it but if its the motor bearing it wont help much. It may even drip into the motors brushes

When my 2004 Lexus RX 330 is idling with the AC on I think the fans shut off and the engine starts to warm up to much?

Most cars are set up to run fans anytime AC is on. You may have a thermostat for the fans or a relay which gets hot and fails.

Fan making clanking noise like it is hitting something the part seems to be located in the lower left front passenger side

sounds like blower motor fan for heat, the motor itself can be going bad or something is hitting fan blade inside heater box, I have seen all different things in heater boxes including acorns , leaves and general debris causing noises when fan for heater runs, you need to take it apart and check for anything that might be hitting fan if not motor is going bad and needs replacement, good luck.

No heat/airconditioning in Lexus RX 330

The warning lights are probably not related to no heat, unless the engine is low on coolant.
It sounds like a problem with the blend doors under the dash, or the main controller. You may need a shop manual to diagnose it.

Fan motor very loud at low speeds

sounds like something inside blower fan that should not be there , higher speed causes outward force inside so that whatever is in there is forced against the blades and therefore is not as loud

Heater fan only works on high after replacement of heater core

It's very possible the fan motor has quit. The squealing noise is caused from motor bearing failure. As the bearings wear out or dry up the motor is harder to turn and require more current to run the motor. On lower speeds, the motor runs off a series of resistors that reduce the amount of voltage and current so the fan runs a lower speeds. If the bearings are worn, there is not enough voltage or current to turn the motor and that's probably the humming noise your hearing.
Good observation by the way.
Let me know.

Heater fan motor

The fan motor can be checked by using jumper wires. remove the wiring connector from the fan.Run the positive wire from the battery to the positive on the fan and the ground to ground. It should turn smoothly and at normal speed at 12 volts. If it is slow and noisy, the bearings making the noise. This indicates the motor is bad.
