After looking at the way the rear seats are. You would be better served calling a lock smith. The cost verses the possible damage.

SOURCE: keys locked in trunk - trunk release inside car

Older style cars did not always have remote trunk release. Call dealer ask if remote trunk release equipped. Rear seat can be removed but, trunk access is not guarantied. Recommend getting a replacement key made with vin and title.

You can pull off the back seats. If they do not fold down they will have medal clips on the back of the seats. You will have to pull up hard and when they release pull forward. Takes some muscle to get it off. Do not pull forward until the seat is off all the clips or else you will bend the clips and the seat will not go back on flush as it is now.

Can i open trunk if i locked my keys in it

Only under one of the following conditions:
  1. You have a spare key.
  2. You have a second remote and the truck can be opened remotely.
  3. You left the car unlocked and there is a trunk release inside.
You may also be able to reach the keys if the car is unlocked and you have a split-type rear seat that can access the trunk. You can crawl thru and get the keys.

Otherwise, you'll be paying a locksmith to get in.

My friend locked my keys in my trunk and the button by the dash wont open it or the spare d-pad i had. it keeps clicking like its trying to open but it wont. i have my drivers test for my license tomorrow...

If you go to a Nissan dealer with your vehicles VIN number, they should be able to make another key for you to use to get into the trunk. Or you could call a locksmith to open the trunk for you.

Or, if the doors were not locked when you locked the keys in your trunk and you have access to the rear seat you can remove the seat and try to reach in from the seat side of the trunk to grab the keys.

I read about this in an online forum, heres the url:

http://forums.nicoclub.com/rear-seat-removal-in-2002-sentra-t408431.html

Read this and I think you will be able to get the trunk open.

There is a trunk release lever inside the trunk on the locking mechanism, if you can reach that
you will be able to open the trunk. But you will have to be able to get inside the car to be able to do this.

Locked keys in trunk 2000 sebring how can i get to them

Here is how I done it with my 2002 Sebring LimitedIf the car has a release button on dashboard but you don't have keys to turn on ignition, (they locked in trunk) remove fuse cover (end of dash drivers side) remove fuse marked for dash lights and PRND1234 leave for 2 or 3 min then while holding trunk release button re-insert fuse and trunk release should work

Yes, or you may have to remove the rear seats to gain access to the trunk area.Roll your windows down or leave the doors open to ensure there is sufficient air flow inside of the car. You do not want to run out of oxygen.

Keys locked in trunk - trunk release inside car will not release the trunk - valet lock does not work - no release in glove box Help!

A dealer or qualified locksmith can make a key from the VIN, provided the lock cylinders are original. Usually they will require proof of ownership before doing so.

Keys locked in trunk

The real answer. Open the fuse box found on the far left side of the dash with the drivers door open. Remove the panel cover and you will see an unmarked fuse with what appears to be black fuse pullers attached to it. Pull it out as far as it will go and push it back in. Your trunk release button will now work without the key for a several minutes.
