Where is leak detection pump & cost of part,is it do it yourself fix 1997 plymouth grand voyager 3 liter engine

Sounds like either a fuel pump or throttle position sensor. Check the pressure at the port on the fuel rail. It should be at least 30 PSI while running. TPS is mounted right on the throttle body. Amazon sells them both.

Battery charged but car not starting...1997 neon...clicking sound but not turning over

Check your connections at battery and at starter. If they are tight and clean, pull your starter and have it tested.

Hello first if you can'tell by the wording of the question I am about to ask I am a woman.. I have a 97 Neon and recently my car started making a noise now what I do know about neons is that the brakes...

Sounds like you know cars better than many others:) How old are your front brakes? Yes new brakes can make noise on any car if cheap parts or incomplete parts are used...Your brakes are actually designed to make noise when they are not right:) The squeal can be the front pads are worn down to the safety sensor...causing a grinding sound that comes and they continue to wear, they will squeal more frequently. Also as they become dirty...(bad weather) the dirt trapped on the pad to rotor contact area causes this same sound...sometimes a good automatic car wash can clear this the rotors are wearing they can also generate noise, and vibration when you are stopping...The front brake pads and rotors are not complicated to change on your Neon...If you decide to replace the pads...the quietest and cleanest are the ceramic pads...These are available at most parts stores for good prices. Hope this helps:)

My son ran his 1997 plymouth neon low on oil. It is now nocking at higher rpm. Sounds like it's coming from the top passenger side of engine. I removed the valve cover,(16vDOHC) nothing appears to be...

most likely scrubbed a bearing in the engine causing the knock not much of a quick cure for this other than replacing the engine or rebuilding

Car's engine wont turn over there is gas going in to engine sounds like it wants to start but it wont turn over

When I had a neon it turned out to be the timing belt had slipped, so the spark was not given at the right time on the stroke.

I hear a high squeal when starting car

If the engine is in goodrunning condition, it could be debris in the pulley grooves, cracked and/or stretched drive belt or possibly a belt tensioner. Take some chassis lube and put a little bit on your finger tip and spread it on a small section of the rive belt grooves then start the car. If the noise goes away, it is probably coolant or moisture on the belt.

I have a 97' plymouth neon and it wont start, it turns over but wont start.

Sounds like a timing belt has broken. If you are lucky it has not done more damage. Best to hook up a code reader and see if it is reporting missing cam sensor. If it is, the timing belt is broken.
