Re: 1966 signal light switch
The switch handle either unscrews or unbolts. You must remove your steering wheel first. Once you get it off, you will see the screws that hold it in place. The wires just unplug. Be careful , youwill have some springs in there that can pop out when removing the switch.

Turn signal/ multifunction switch. Replace it. All the exterior lights run threw it except the high mount brake light. Check the brake lights. If the high mount works and the others don't . That is a sure sign.
No there not connected, replace the brake light

Horn will be located in the drivers side fender. Thank you for using fixya.
Disconnect the battery,Then there shoulkd be a bezel ring on the outside of dash facing you hold the switch from the back and break loose bezel ring it will turn counterclockwise as you are looking at it,make sure the new switch matches, transfer wires from old switch to new and reverse proceedure to install.
Recheck ALL the wiring, check the brake light switch and signal switch. Either on could have gone bad due to its age. Them suspect the controller for the lights. What do the 4 ways do? I think I would be suspecting the signal switch.
check the light socket and the wires leading to the socket. The contacts inside are probably nasty looking green or have a white powdery looking corrosion on them, also check to make sure the bulb fits in the socket properly,it could just be worn out.The switch in the column could also have a bad or broken contact, but start with the simple stuff first.
i would check fuses for turn signal if ok check for battery power on both sides of fuse if you have battery power check the turn signal switch in the steering colum the brake lights run through the switch as well
