I just went thru a situation where I replaced all the 6 ignition coils and plugs along with 2 O2 sensors. The engine continued to throw codes and was doing a type of missing that I now understand is known as "fish-biting". I read a thread that this engine has an "oil pressure control valve" on each cylinder bank. I found them and pulled them out of the heads. I found that there's was to check these, but one of mine, the one nearest the front of the car, looked burned. I spent the $70 bucks. The fish-biting has been eliminated, and the car runs very smooth. Hope this helps.

Front windshield defroster not working. 2001 rx300 lexus.

check fuse 50 in the engine bay. I think it wrongly attributed to the 'rear defogger' which is already mentioned in the internal fuse box as fuse 43.

also check the contacts on the windshield for continuity.

1999 lexus rx300 check engine light blinking - car vibrates at about 50 mph but if i tuen off overdrive it will stop - got error codes P0125 and P0306

Your 306 code means you have a misfire on cylender 6. That may be the cause of the po 125. Inspecdt the coil, spark plug wire, and spark plug on cylender 6. With the age of the car I would replace all 3 items. If you want know how to test all 3 I can tell you process of elimination is the way to do it. Do you know how to find cylender 6

Lexus rx300 2002 hard shift between 1st and 2nd. Fluid and filter changed 3000mi ago, car has 93000mi

The 1999-2003 Lexus RX300 models have a common failure of the engine computer that causes the harsh shifting of the transmission. You need to get the computer (ECM - Engine Control Module) rebuilt or replaced before it causes permanent damage to the transmission. Even if the transmission is already ruined, the ECM will still need to be repaired. Most often, the transmission is fine though, and rebuilding the ECM will restore the smooth shifts that the Lexus should have. Circuit Board Medics can rebuild the ECM and reprogram it so that you only have to plug it back in when you get it back. See the link below:

Changing rear wiper fluid in a 99 lexus rx300

Nothing to change, add fluid to the reservoir in front. Lack of rear fluid could indicate a bad pump or hose connection feeding to the rear area or clogged sprayer tip
