Location of fuel pump switch

It appears that the EWIS module is responsible for triggering the starter...

Fuse, relay, ignition switch, in that order. It appears to be a very well known issue on that model!!

The fuse and relay are in 2 boxes under the hood and are easy to identify. The pump is running as it tries to test the emission system, if you find the leak you'll fix the problem start with the gas cap, if it's anything other than original equipment replace it most locking fuel caps leak unless they come with the vehicle. After that look at hoses between the tank and charcoal can. I hope this helps. Take care.

I fix mechanical and electric problem no matter what it is the problem with it!!!I I am very good and bless in my work I am 5gen mechanical engineering technician never have a problem I can not fix Its the ignition switch also have to check out the grounds for the whole car do a voltage drop test to find out the problem

I do not know of an "Air Pump" for a 1996 328i. Did you mean
fuel pump (15A fuse # 18) or
blower motor (30A fuse # 20)

First of all-what low pressure are you talking about, is it the A/c, or Fuel port.?

The longer single row of fuses is #31-46 (46 is closest to the double row of fuses).

its most likly the fuel sending unit in the tank. You will probably need to get a whole assembly, which includes the sending unit and new fuel pump to fix the problem.

The BMW 328i
Firstly clean the air filter as it seems that the engine is choking.
This should do it... if not...
Check the fuel filter and clean it ..you could use a good additive in your fuel to do he same.
The last resort will be to check the fuel pump as the right amount of fuel is not being delivered to the block.
