I think that if you touch the bulb while putting in the will blow it is from the oil on your skin, but where it is lasting for a while i don't think that ,that might be the problem.Sound like to me that the ground to the light is lose or croded up.

if it has water/ holes in it, it needs to be replaced. Did you verify voltage to it? ORANGE wire, Ck the EXT LTS fuse.,10 amps, that powers the right headlight. Check the Dark Blue wire, if it has voltage on it, the dimmer switch may be bad. The dimmer switch provides ground to turn the light on. If you ground the Dark Blue wire and the light works, then I would guess that the dimmer switch is bad.

The drivers side headlight on my 2002 Saab won't

This is probably a problem with the orange headlight relay under the hood in the relay black box. Take the relay out and clean contacts and put back in. If does not fix, try a new relay or swap with another 9-5 to troubleshoot.

The headlights run through a relay (#46) through the BCM. If the relay were bad (very common and has a recall) both lights would not work. Sooo, I'm thinking check the wiring and pigtail that goes to the bulb. People that use Silverstar halogeon bulbs will burn that wire and or the connector. Make sure these are sound, check for power at the connector too.

How do I change a headlight bulb in a S60 60

Bulb is an H7 55w - price depends on brand (Hella or Sylvania Silver Star much higher than standard Sylvania). To change, open hood and look for round plastic cover over back of headlight. It's about the diameter of a big orange. Turn to remove. Remove black plastic connector (2 wires) from the bulb BEFORE you remove the spring holding the bulb in. New bulb goes in with the small square tab pointing up. Don't touch the glass part of bulb with your hands - your body oil will cause it to fail sooner. Getting the spring back on can take some effort. Then reconnect wire. And be sure to put the plastic cover back on.
