I need to remove it for a new job with USPS delivering mail. I will be sitting in passenger seat and reaching across with left leg and foot to pedals. The console is in the way. There is no eletrical wires in this console.

there is a good chance that you will need to take the vehicle in to have the passenger seat resyncronized. The 06 uses a weight sensing system to determine if someone is sitting in the passenger seat. It uses sensors to determine the weight of the occupant by placing your knee in the center it probably thought the sensors weren't reading right since all the weight was in the center of the seat. There is a special set of weights that that dealer has in order to calibrate the sensors again. You might be able to try having someone sit in the passenger seat and then get out a few times and maybe it will see that it's reading correctly now and clear on its own. Laptops running and positioned on the passenger seat have been known to cause problems with this system too at least on the 05's it did.
If the van has a cup holder on the doghouse you should not have to remove it to get doghouse out. There are 2 latches on the sides of the dog house, one on driver side and one on passenger side about halfway between the floor and the dash, un hook these. Pull the carpet back from around the bottom of the dog house, there will be 2 clips held down with bolts, remove these. The doghouse should slide back, and out from under the dash, it might be necessary to remove the passenger seat to get the house out of the vehicle.
It is on the passenger side of the center console, down by the floor. In the general area of where your left ankle would be, if you were sitting in the passenger seat. There is also another one under the hood, on the driver's side. It holds the larger fuses for things like your horn and headlights.
the best way to do it is take the center console out and the seats so you can properly weld in new floors .. unless your going to just put some tin over them if your going to do this you dont have to remove the console just the seats so you can get the carpet up to place the tin in place..
