Re: My car is not registered anywhere in USA
Call the dealer and have him break the serial number down, it contains much information that might aid your search for the cars origin, other than that I would call the police in the closest US city and have them run the VIN/Serial number through there data search for stolen cars, many of which end up in Mexico.
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Here are some basic examples of what a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) means, as where was my car made, and a source for understanding what do VIN numbers mean.
First vehicle identification numberdigit: U.S.A.(1 or 4), Canada (2), Mexico (3), Japan (J), Korea (K),England (S), Germany (W), Italy (Z)
Second vehicle identification number digit specifies the manufacturer. Audi(A), BMW (B), Buick (4), Cadillac (6), Chevrolet (1), Chrysler (C),Dodge (B), Ford (F), GM Canada (7), General Motors (G), Honda (H),Jaguar (A), Lincoln (L), Mercedes Benz (D), Mercury (M), Nissan (N),Oldsmobile (3), Pontiac (2 or 5), Plymouth (P), Saturn (8), Toyota (T),Volvo (V).
According to the VIN you've posted, your code *should* be:
If the radio was replaced, or reprogrammed, that code may have changed. The only info I have is taken directly from the VIN you've posted. I have a friend in an Audi Service Department, and I called him with your VIN.
Hope this helps!
LOOK AT THE VIN PLATE.YOU CAN SEE IT FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE VECHICLE THROUGH THE DRIVER SIDE WINDSHIELD.COUNTING FROM THE LEFT 5TH NUMBER IS ENGINE CODE.10TH NUMBER MODEL YEAR CODE.BUY ALL PARTS OILS AT AUDI DEALERSHIP.BUY OIL FILTER AT AUDI DEALERSHIP.YOU CAN BUY OIL AT ANY AUTO PARTS STORES BUT USE WHAT THE OWNERS MANUAL CALL FOR.
try another dealer. maybe try to get ahold of one of the techs at lunch time. this info should be free to the car owner, just be ready to supply the title to the car for some proof. maybe try buying the parts guys lunch or coffee and donuts....this usually works for this type of problem. unfortunaley this info really is dealer only..
