I have a 1987 Dodge dakota and can't get any spark?

You need to see if you have voltage at the coil with the key on.
Make sure the check engine light comes on when you turn the key on.
If not, check the ASD relay in the engine compartment.
You will need a book and a meter to test the other components.

Im not getting spark to my spark plugs

Remove the distributor cap, so that the rotor is visible. Have an assistant turn the ignition to crank the engine over. If the rotor does not turn when the engine is cranking, then you need a timing belt or chain.

If the rotor does turn, then replace the coil.

Changed water pump on 1994 dodge dakota sport

Hi my name is Allen!
Not sure how changing a water pump could cause a no start, but it sounds like the main Ignition Fuse may have blown some how, or you accidently knocked a connector loose some where. Check the PCM and make sure all the connectors are plugged in tightly.
