NEED TO REMOVE STARTER AND DON'T KNOW HOW

I found your solution (with pics) at:

However, www.autozone.com will expect you to register (free) to access their repair guide database.
Note: The Intrepid 3.5L engine takes the Delco starter, while the Intrepid 3.3L engine takes the
Nippondenso starter.
How can you tell which engine's in your Intrepid? read 8th digit of the VIN code.
VIN code "F" - 3.5L 6cyl MFI (multi-port fuel injection) - 60% of 1997 Dodge Intrepids sold
VIN code "T" - 3.3L 6cyl MFI - 40% of 1997 Dodge Intrepids sold

I have a 1996 Dodge Intrepid. I just installed a radio in the car using the Wal-Mart wiring harness, but when I turn on the radio, I have to turn it all the way up to hear the music, and its all treble....

that aftermarket radio may require different ohm speakers than whats in the car. open trunk and look at speaker magnets they will have the ohms printed on them if they dont say 4 or 8 ohms then they are incompatable with your stereo and may damage it if ohms are lower than 4 ohms. also make sure your radio balnce tone fader settings are correct. some of these new radios are so comlicated with that stuff it requires a 100 page book just to operate it.

Wiring for the 97 Intrepid radio

Do yourself a big favor & buy the adapter plug for the harness, that converts your Chrysler harness to easy install of aftermarket stereo. Any autoparts or audio store should have them.

Replacing a starter on a 1997 Dodge Intrepid

No, you can access the starter from the bottom of the engine without having to remove anything else. I replaced the starter on my 94 3.3 myself without having to remove anything else. Good Luck!!!!!
