Question about 2000 Buick Century
My window wipers work fine when I turn it on, but when I turn it off, instead of going to rest position at the bottom of the window, it stops in the middle of the window and just stays there. I've tried holding the wipers down when I turn it off and that works until I turn of the engine of my car. When I start up my car again, the wipers immediately revert to their position in the middle of the window even though the wipers aren't turned on. How can I fix this?
From what I have read, it is the crank arm park tab that has been bent or broken off, sometimes happens when wipers are forced to go over some snow or ice. drivers side wiper, open hood and remove any coverage over the wiper motor, have someone run the wipers so you can see where the tab is supposed to be, if bent, just bend it back to a position where the crank arm comes down and hits it. supposed to work, again, from what I have read.

Take the cap covers off where the bottom of the wiper is. Lossen both bolts and adjust freely to where you want it then tighnen them up.
