I've checked all the switches, relays and fuses. there is no power to the headlight switch, and the headlight fuses are not powered (the relays are) in the power distribution block. Once again the relays are ok. I have a 1999 Dodge Caravan LE

I have a 2000 Grand Caravan with no headlights, taillights, horn and the internal lighting has to be turned off using the rotary switch. This all resulted from a wire to the headlights corroding off at the fuse panel under the hood and shorting against another wire. Oh I say HELP.

Check the ground cable at the battery , youll see a break in the ground wire at the battery box, check to make sure the bolt is tight and not corroded (the break is the ground for most of the lighting )

Cant say for sure, but you may be laying something on the sensor that turns the lights on, and causing car to think its night time, and turning on lights. The sensor that controls this is on dash ,drivers side near windsheild.

These are all different circuits. The brake lights are on a 10amp fuse - the headlights are on a 50amp fuse - and the parking and dash lights are on a 20amp fuse.
Do you have power going into the headlight switch and the brake light switch ?

My headlights have quit working on my 1994 Chevy 1500 pickup. I replaced the headlight switch but they still don't work. The parking lights come on but not the headlights

Try checking both a; your fuses, and b; check your bulbs. You should have two fuse boxes, one under hood and one in or under the dash. Check those for bad, blown or weak fuses. And check your headlights bulbs for them being good and their connection. If this doesn't fix your problem, you may check out your highbeam switch.

1995 mote carlo ls headlights come on, but parking lights wont, neither will dash lights? Checked all fuses, but not relays.

If you'vegot headlights, brake lights and blinkers, but no park or tail lights and no dash lights, it's time to replace the headlight switch. Hopethis helps.

What started this mess? tailights, fog lights, brake lights....

The relay has nothing to do with the tail lights, but replacing the switch sounds like a good idea. There's a nut holding it in place, see http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts/electrics/switches/switch-headlight/1027524/ to get an idea of the construction. And the price. This is not worth fiddling about unreliable workarounds...
In addition, if fuses 15 and/or 16 burn frequently there might be a problem with the tail light cabling.

Good luck

No headlights

I am not much of a mechanic any more ,but I do have some experince with electronics and for any circuit to operate battery has to flow to ground.Direct battery to ground will blow a fuse or melt your wiring if the fuse does not blow.If your parking lights stay on all the time then there is a complete path from battery to grd through the lights, and it sounds as though what ever is causing the problem on the parking lights is killing the path to your lamps relay.A wiring diagram may be available on the internt or library.Good luck.
