Question about 2000 Ford Windstar
THAT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING WITH THE LOCKS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK WITH THE SHIFTER WHEN PUT IN GEAR. OURS DID THE SAME THING, BUT OUR WARRANTY PAID TO FIX IT, ALTHOUGH IT STILL ISN'T WORKING100%. IT COULD ALSO BE AS SIMPLE AS THE BATTERY IN YOUR KEYLESS ENTRY BEING LOW. ALTHOUGH THAT SHOULDN'T STOP YOU FROM MANUALLY OPENING IT. THAT'S WHAT MAKES ME THINK IT IS THE LOCK MECAHNISM ITSELF. I'M SURE YOU KNOW THAT IT HAS ON/OFF BUTTON FOR THE SLIDER AND IF IT IS OFF IT WON'T WORK, ALSO VAN HAS TO HAVE TO BE IN PARK OR IT WON'T WORK EITHER. TO USE MINE MANUALLY I HAD TO DRAG, YANK AND PULL(HAHA) TO GET IT OPEN. ANY SIGNS OF RUST ON YOURS YET? WE STARTED NOTICING BAD RUST LAST YEAR WHEN THE CAR HAD @50,000 MILES ON IT. ITS DISAPPOINTING TO SEE ALL THESE LITTLE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH THIS VAN. GOOD LUCK!
